Political Action
The New Brunswick Regional Council has an active and effective political action strategy. Members are informed of issues and decisions which governments are making - and are encouraged to contact their local MLA's and MP's to voice their concerns. To find out who your local MLA is, click here.

Executive and staff members often meet with both Provincial and Federal politicians to discuss issues of importance to our members. This has resulted in a very positive working relationship with both levels of government.

The most important issue facing our members is the practice of 'double breasting' in the construction sector.

Some successful initiatves have been:

-The recent increases to the Provincial Fair Wage Schedule on Crown Construction Projects.

-Partnering with the Provincial Government to train our members for upcoming work in the industrial sector.
